Progress Report #3
The art show is almost here! I am very excited for I have finished enough pieces to cover at least two panels. I am currents still sketching on some old notes as additions to my sketchbook and putting some finishing touches on my bigger pieces. I have also had an idea to work with an old attic door I have found for a last-minute peice.
Progress Report #2
I have finally finished my series of large peiecs. The total came to four of them which will create an interesting display for the art show. I am continuing to work with ink and newspaper as I was inspired by Beck’s work of shading with ink, I hope to capture a similar effect yet with a different texture.
Progress Report #1 4th Quarter
I am almost done my first set of 3D anatomical studies. I have painted mannequin arms in detail to depict the muscular structure of the human arm. I have also done some side sketches on class notes creating a layered look. I have begun to collaborate with Emma Decker as well as we have combined our interests into many pieces.
Progress Report #4
I am almost done my series and am beginning to think of what to do next. I still want to continue with anatomy, however I was thinking about constructing my pieces of different types of materials; possibly incorporating wire, doors, and various textiles. Anatomy is something I wish to continue for the rest of the year as an art subject.
Progress Report #3
I am still very interested in my subjects as I continue to complete my anatomy series. I am currently exploring the human leg and foot and am beginning to incorporate textiles along with my canvas and ink. I plan to cut my current piece in half and stitch it back together, beginning to being up the subject of surgery into my art pieces.
Progress Report #2
Contrary to what I stated in my first progress report my project has gained speed. I have completed 2.5 out of the four that I plan to create and I am beginning to figure out faster ways to complete my pieces with the same effect. Also I am entertaining the idea to expand this project into the 4th marking period with different takes on human anatomy.
Progress Report #1
My project has taken me longer than I had originally thought, although I am not terribly off schedule. I have begun doing more transformative studies and I will veer off more in this direction. I hope to finish my current piece by the end of this week and begin my third before friday. My ultimate goal is to have this project finished in the next two to three weeks and have a total of four to five pieces.
